Dr Roy Hargrave has a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Arts Valuation, an MA degree in Victorian
Art and Architecture, and a PhD degree in architectural history from Royal Holloway,
University of London. His doctoral thesis was on the Northamptonshire architect John
Alfred Gotch (1852-
Roy has a particular interest in early Northamptonshire and Leicestershire artists such as Sir Alfred East, Thomas Cooper Gotch, John Fulleylove, Frank B. Jowett, Walter B. Gash, Ralph Hartley, G.H.B. Holland, Nina Carroll and T. L. Shoosmith.
