About the Artist
Harold Edward Conway was born in Wimbledon in 1872. He studied at the Slade School, London and the Académie Julian in Paris. He lived in Burford, Oxfordshire. He exhibited in 1915-23 at the Royal Academy (8 works), Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (5) and Royal Institute of Oil Painters (1).
Westhall Hill Manor is a Grade II listed farmhouse near Burford in Oxfordshire, dating from the mid-17th century and later.
